I always wondered how to write a blog post easily when I started blogging. The truth is that I had trouble writing at first. I may be a lazy author, but I am a perfectionist at heart.
I always want what I write to be flawless and beneficial to others, which is why I kept away from publishing a post.
In my effort to figure out how to produce a good blog article, I decided to devise a method for writing that would not only allow me to write quickly but also make me enjoy it.
In this blog article, I’ll show you how to write blog articles fast using methods that I’ve developed.
How do you write a blog post?
The following is a list of the most essential stages to take when producing a blog post.
1. Make a list of things you want to write about.
This is without a doubt one of the most crucial aspects of producing a blog article quickly.
Since I have a lot of material to cover, having a list has really helped me out several times because I suffer from chronic writer’s block and forgetfulness.
What’s the best way for me to accomplish that?
What I do is, whenever a blog topic occurs to me, I immediately go through my blog diary and add it.
I usually get my blog post ideas from other blogs I enjoy, and I spend a lot of time reading the comments section.
I’m terrible with remembering things, therefore I like to write a lot more in my diary so I don’t forget my genius ideas when they occur to me.
I’ve been able to build up a lengthy list of topics that I’d want to write about on this blog since I started documenting blog subject ideas.
It is really handy since I don’t have to worry about what to write about.
I pick up my blog diary, scan through it and choose a topic that I think I can write on well, then bam! I get started.
Let’s move on to the next step for how to write a blog post.
2. Investigate the subject of the blog article.
The problem is that if you don’t conduct research on the subject, you’ll end up getting frustrated.
When you write blog post material that has been thoroughly researched, not only does it ensure that your content is excellent, but it also gives the correct information to your readers.
I don’t think that anybody gets up in the morning to write without conducting some research.
Even if you know what you’re writing about, there’s almost certainly something else you’ll need to lookup.
You can’t remove the research from the equation when it comes to blog post writing.
Here are some of the blog article research that I conduct.
I conduct the following research after performing the standard fact checks and informational reading:
- I do keyword research to see what kind of keywords I may utilize in my blog articles.
- Analyze the search intent: I try to understand what people are looking for when they search for information related to the keyword.
Are they searching for list articles or how-to articles? If I get the search intent for that keyword, I craft my post using the information from the search engine results page.
- Look for questions that people are asking about the term: I use the “people also ask” box on Google to learn what queries people make when looking for information connected to my blog topic.
To entice readers and ensure that my article is SEO-friendly, I do all of these things.
3. Make a list of your subheadings.
Now that you’ve done your homework on your blog topic, it’s time to outline how you’ll develop your blog post using a subheading structure.
Subheadings for your blog article make it simpler for your readers to comprehend by dividing your blog post into sections.
So how do you come up with subheadings for your blog post?
This is really simple to do and I’m going to show you how.
What I do is after I have selected my blog post topic and do the necessary research on the topic, I’ll go back to Google and then type in the blog post topic in the search bar.
Now, when you scroll down the search engine results page(SERPs), you will see that there is a box where they have the title ‘people also ask’.
From the people also ask section, I am able to outline subheadings from the questions that people are asking in relation to my blog post topic.
Not only am I writing a blog post, but I’m also answering questions that you as my reader may be asking in relation to the topic you are reading.
Having a clear structure for your blog articles will help you make your blog post more interesting and appealing to read.
How many subheadings should you include in a blog post?
It depends on the article you’re writing. If you need to use 10 subheadings, then use them, if you need more, then use more.
4. Begin with an introduction.
Every blog post should begin with an introduction.
People want to be able to connect with you as a person, not as a machine that lacks emotions.
Even the most callous individual has a desire to connect with a character in a story.
This is why, when you begin writing, it’s important to establish a persona that people can relate to.
I’ll give you an example. I started this post by informing you how I, too, experienced the same problem while composing blog entries.
This implies that I have been in your position before and that you are not alone in it.
If it’s feasible, you may also sum up the solution to the issue in your post’s opening to give readers an incentive to continue reading.
If your topic title is in a question form, you should do this.
For example, What is…. Or how to…. posts with questions
It’s always a good idea to include human feelings and challenges in your intro.
5. Begin Writing a Detailed Blog Article
Ok! Now you have done your research and outlined the subheadings you will be using in your blog post.
What is the next step in this process?
After you’ve finished creating your blog post structure, it’s time to start filling in the subheadings you devised for your article with the solutions or ideas you believe will aid your reader.
According to research done by Backlinko, the average length of articles that rank number 1 on Google’s search results page is 1,890 words.
It does not imply that you should produce meaningless text for the sake of quantity.
Remember that you are writing for your target audience before search engines.
When you prioritize the interests of your readers, they will enjoy reading your articles, which means fewer bounce rates and longer page views.
Furthermore, the search engines will recognize that you are providing content that interests your readers, and they will increase your ranking as a result.
Here are some blog post writing tips:
- Use an H1 heading tag to write your title (only use once).
- Use H2 as subheadings for improved readability.
- Include relevant keywords in the subheadings.
- Subheadings should not be more than 350 words long.
- Try not to do more than 3-4 lines per paragraph. This makes the article scannable and readable.
- Make sure the keywords you select for your blog article are bol. It informs search engines that your blog entries are relevant to that search query.
- Create links to related material on your blog in relation to the post topic.
- Include your keyword in the URL of your article.
- Make your URL as short as possible.
6. Upload images/videos to your blog post
You should add images to your posts to make them easier to read, especially if it’s a lengthy post.
If I’m a reader on your site, I’ll want to take a break from the text.
This can be accomplished by adding pictures, videos or altering the background color of some of the paragraph blocks.
Where should you put your images in your blog post?
You may add images wherever you want.
You can include a picture at the top of your article.
If I only add one image, it is added automatically by my featured image settings.
I utilize images to help explain what I’m talking about in my blog articles. In my blog postings, I use 4 images on average.
The number of images to include in your blog post is entirely dependent on the nature of your blog article.
When it comes to adding images to your blog article, there are a few things to consider:
- Choose a keyword for your image before uploading it to your blog post. Give the file a name using your chosen keyword.
- The image should be a JPEG or PNG file format.
- Try to make the image file size as small as possible without the image looking too low-res.
- In the image alt text field, give your image a description.
Include your keyword in the image alt text if it will make sense grammatically.
- Make a caption for your image. If you need to suggest the source for your image, include it in the caption area.
7. Check your post for any spelling or grammatical errors.
I promise you that if you spend enough time reading this text, you will find a large number of grammar errors. However, I did proofread a few times to ensure accuracy.
I use the free version of Grammarly to check my spelling or grammatical errors in my articles. It helps me correct my mistakes with their Chrome plugin.
But honestly, I’m not satisfied with that, so I make certain to go over my posts a few times before publishing.
The fact is that even after you’ve published your article, there will still be mistakes.
I regularly go over my published blog entries to see whether there are any grammatical mistakes that I may have missed.
Do you know what I’m saying? Every single time, I find a grammar error. It’s maddening.
But it’s well worth it because the next person who reads my blog post will not be disgusted by my poor grammatical abilities.
How to Correctly Proofread an article
- Do not proofread right away after completing a post.
- Read carefully.
- Read the post paragraph by paragraph aloud.
- Make sure there aren’t any punctuation mistakes.
- Find someone else to proofread it for you.
Conclusion….
Creating a blog article and even coming up with a blog post concept is no easy task. However, I believe that utilizing the technique I’ve described in this post may assist you to avoid having writer’s block.
I really do hope that this blog article has been useful to you.
